What can we say? It seems Steve Smith was not enough to help Carolina struggling offense take down the Vikings. The game was riddled with an inconsistent passing game which wasn't able to use the star wide receiver like it used to. The first half wasn't that bad until the Jake was sacked before the half and the Viking capitalized with 7 points which tied the game 10-10. This was a sign of things to come as the Panthers QB was pestered all day by the Vikings defense.
The Vikings never looked back as they shut down the Panthers offense and tired out the Panthers defense. Unfortunately for Carolina Fans, the Vikings doubled their score 20-10 for the final.
This drops Carolina to 2-1 with a three way tie in the NFC South with Tampa Bay and Atlanta. Carolina will play host to their NFC South rival Falcons next Sunday in Charlotte. Like any division game this is a must win for the Panthers.
